Well, I suppose like all projects, it’s best to start somewhere. And that somewhere is usually at the beginning, right? Who am I…who is AshKTaylor? Well girls and boys, boys and girls allow me to introduce myself!

I’m a mother of two darling daughters. Owner of a Bernese Mountain Dog (AKA: The Rebound), who although I love to hate, isn’t THAT bad. My husband is incredibly amazing, supportive, and hardworking. He encourages me in all of my little hobbies that I pick up, but I think that’s only so he can make fun of me when the “two week whim” wears off. He STILL pokes fun of me for a pair of shoes that I thought that I would “bedazzle”. I only finished one…well…half of one I think is actually more accurate. It was a long time ago! Thankfully my DIY skills and ideas have come a long way since that mistake.

I enjoy cooking and baking – of course my oldest daughter M absolutely LOVES to “help”…or rather 9 times out of 10 MAKE A BIG MESS OUT OF EVERYTHING AND CAUSE 50% MORE WORK AND FRUSTRATION, but she’s young, we all have to start somewhere {deep breath, count to ten}.

Also – sewing, which I have a hard enough time remaining patient with already so NO little helpers during that. Oddly enough, I do still enjoy it, but have learned that it’s best for me to stick to simple and quick projects. Although, I am still “working” on a rag quilt that I started almost a year ago exactly (OOPS!).

I LOVE a good DIY project – as long as there’s little to no use of power tools needed. Knowing my luck I would end up dismembering myself somehow. Unfortunately, grace and coordination are not any of the attributes that the Good Lord endowed me with sadly enough, so I choose to not tempt the fates.

Of course I’m sure there will be a little bit of randomness splattered here and there…late night ramblings, opinion pieces, and such.
